11/2/06 - We left Lincang for a two-hour ride North to the new primary school in Yunxian ( 雲縣 ). There was a dedication ceremony, and then we visited the old school buildgins.
Afterwards, we visited a different school that has a working farm associated with it before having lunch.
In the afternoon, we rode for another two hours to Fengqing ( 鳳慶 ), where Mr. Young of Sowers Action had a meeting with the local officials about their proposal to get a new school built. Pictures there have been posted in a separate gallery.
After dinner, it was an hour back to Yunxian where some of us went to karaoke.
Leaving Lincang on National Route G214, heading north.
Most of the major routes are toll roads.

Along the gorges of Nanding River ( 南定河 ).
The Nanding River joins the Salween and flows into Adaman Sea.
This coach left Kunming last night for Lincang.
Stopping briefly at the country seat of Yunxian.
Luozha River ( 羅閘河 ）is a major tributary of the Lancang, which becomes the Mekong.
We then went up a small valley.
Out of a sudden...
Kids in green belong to the percussion band.
Everyone wears a nice track suit.
