The Star Ferry moved its pier in Central on Nov 12th, 2006, after 40+ years of use. I took pictures of the old and new piers, plus the ferries on three occassions - on the 7th, 9th, and 10th.

I also have other shots of Central on the 7th.

Prada at Alexander House.

Bulgari at Charter House.

All these buildings are owned by Hong Kong Land.

So is the MO. Recently reopened.

Gone are the balconies.

Lower floors still being renovated.

Buildings surrounding Statue Square.

Jardine House, another HK Land property.

Nice!

Star Ferry's Central Pier, Nov 7th. 5 days before moving.

It's been in continuous use since 1957.
