Trip began at the NW WorldClub at LAX T2.

Pretty comfy, not too crowded.

View is NE towards T1.

19-year old 744 NW664US to take me across the Pacific.

The "Northwest" name will disappear after its merger with Delta.

Last 4 rows have only 2 seats on the side.

Plenty of room for my violin and camera bag.

Over the Coast Range of California.

This view becoming more and more rare...

The Pacific Coast somewhere between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

No personal TVs, and the seats are very worn.

Another shot of the last 4 rows.

Dinner was pretty good. Better than Continental's longhaul meals.

The egg dish for breakfast also nice.

View of NRT from the men's room in the upper level, before security screening.

HSBC monopolyzing jetways at major airports around the world.

N77012 being pushed back from T1 Satellite 1 for CO6 to IAH.

The other CO 772 going to EWR later.

I would ride the same aircraft NW664US for NRT-HKG.
