Before leaving Weiyuan, we visited the one and only attraction there - the Baling Bridge (灞陵橋) that spans this source of the Wei River. We then traveled hours through the Loess Plateau to Tongwei County (通渭縣). Rain the previous day had turned the 10km/6mi gravel road to a school named after my aunt into mud, so we couldn't visit it. We stayed in the county seat of Tongwei.

Next morning, we visited the Luyi Primary School in Longyang County (隴陽鄉陸義小學) before returning to the county seat for lunch.
