Highlight of our trip was an one-day visit to the Elephant Nature Park, about 60km north of Chiang Mai, where over 30 rescued elephants live in a park. They are not for riding, but we get to hang out with them, even bathing them in the river.

Cost is 4,000 Baht per person which includes transportation and a decent buffet vegetarian lunch.

At the bathroom/ATM stop enroute to the park.

Workers and volunteers stocking food for the herd.

Lots of dogs and a few cats there too.

First activity was to feed them snacks.

My mom's turn.

My dad.

More please!

Okay.

Then we went to meet the herd.

Very impressive lineup!

Keeping our distance at first.
