Continue on the huge construction zone known as highway G219. Greeted with some snow once we entered the Ngari Prefecture (阿里地區). Viewed the scared Lake Manasarovar (瑪旁雍錯) from the Shiu Monastery (即烏寺) and overnighted at a tiny village next to it.
Our room at the hostel in Payang. We watched FIFA World Cup while there was power 9p-1a.

Owner's Tibetan mastiff lives right outside our room and starts howling at sunrise.

All the trucks have left before us. Only the dogs are left in Payang.

The actual G219 being rebuilt is to the right. Traffic created its own highway.
