On our way from Houston to Austin, we stopped to see the painted churches in Fayette County around Schulenburg. It is about 100 west of Houston.

Central Texas were inhabited by Czech and German immigrants in late 19th C; and these churches serve those communities. They are known for their interior decorations.

First time out with my brand new Tokina 11-16/2.8 ultra-wideangle that replaced the Canon 10-22/3.5-4.5 I had been using for almost 2 years.

St. Mary's Parish Church, Praha.

St. Mary's Catholic Church, High Hill.

It definitely has the most elaborate interior of the four.

Its stained class came from previous church it replaced.

Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Dubina.
