Visited a bunch of sites in NE Kowloon with my parents. First time to Wong Tai Sin ( 黃大仙 ) in over 20 years, while Chi Lin Nunnery ( 志蓮靜苑 ) and Kowloon Walled City Park are new to me.

First thing you see coming out from Wong Tai Sin MTR.

This temple in Kowloon was started in 1921.

Worshippers in front of main hall.

Like everything else in HK, its surrounded by apartment blocks.

The character in the round plaque is "Tao".

There's no statue of Wong Tai Sin inside. Rather, it's a drawing, visible in center-right.

Wong was born in 338AD in Zhejiang Province.

He's known to "answer all requests".

Worshippers shake a bamboo cup with fortune sticks until one falls out.

That stick can then be interpreted by a soothsayer.

Young people come to worship too.

One of the other pavilions to the East of main hall.

This one is made of bronze entirely.
