Traveled to New York City for Christmas. Stayed at the Grand Hyatt above Grand Central Terminal, and most of the pictures taken around there.
Also took a short side trip to visit my sister's in-laws in NW Connecticut.
NYC got the 6th largest snow storm ever (around 18in) on Boxing Day, so some pictures of that as well.
Shot with 7D with 17-55 and Sigma 8-16.
Arriving LaGuardia Airport (LGA) on a clear crisp late afternoon.
Standard room at the Grand Hyatt. Not as nice as the GHs in Atlanta or San Francisco.
Decent sized flat screen TV, but no HD programming.
Bathroom pretty tiny. But I love the white ginger scent of GH's toiletries.
A dressed up building in Upper East Side in the high 60's.
Frick Collection from 5th Ave.
Entrance on 70th St. My first visit here.
Christmas lights on Madison Ave.
I was cold and hungry when I saw this. High 60's @ Madison.
$4 lamb gyro. Lots of meat. But sauce dripping all over.
1908 building at 45 E 66th @ Madison.
Nespresso cafe at 761 Madison, between 65th and 66th.
Not impressed by the Nespresso pods coffe, but I was freezing.
Giorgio Armani at 760 Madison @ 65th.
Looking south on Madison @ 65th.
