Death Valley 2010-3
Last trip taken in California before moving back to Houston. Overnight trip with 17-55, 70-200/4L IS and Kenko 1.4x. Got dehydrated and pretty sick during the trip.
No ultra-wide as I sent my 11-16 back to Tokina.
Stayed overnight at the Stovepipe Wells Village inside the park.
Passing the wind farm near Mojave on the way to Death Valley.
Stopping by the Trona Pinnacles.
Nearby is the China Lake Naval Weapons Center.
My car was still clean, but not for long.
The dry Searles Lake bed. Borax is mined nearby.
Many Hollywood sci-fi films have used this location.
Entering Death Valley NP on Trona-Wildrose Rd.
At Emigrant Pass (5,316ft/1,612m).
An abandoned gold mine.
That car looks like it is from 1940's or 50's.
